  I love indoor cycling because it is the perfect combination of endurance, strength, cardio, and interval training.I have been to numerous cycling studios, some franchises like Flywheel itself and other more unique, smaller businesses. I have also seen a good range of studio quality, varying from dirty bathrooms (I feel uncomfortable using their showers) to free towel and toiletries topped with an after class brunch. I have also experienced challenging workouts that I thought was worth my time to workouts that I needed to modify constantly to make it count.
  
  I visited Flywheel when I was visiting SF a month ago and it was the best cycling franchise I have been to. The instructor was helpful, upbeat, and most importantly the class consisted of different movements on the bike that challenged different muscle groups, all to the tune of good music. Like other franchises, they have a TV screen showing the top cyclists in class but it only popped up a few times in class, not enough to become a distraction.
  
  The facility was also very clean and spacious. I got my own locker (that had a combination lock) and there was a nice changing room. Showers are always key because people who go to the 5 or 6 am classes (like myself) often go straight to work from there and there is nothing more off putting than having dirty shower stalls or having none at all. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good look at theirs.
  
  There's a special first class rate for new members but otherwise it seriously cost an arm and an leg to go there. These high prices make the studio only accessibly to those who can afford it whereas I think studios should also get gratification from helping people meet their fitness goals.
  
  Overall, try their first class deal and you'll get a great work out but I would rather spend the membership money on supporting a smaller studio/business.
